Carol Dweck Carol Dweck

Carol S. Dweck is the Lewis and Virginia Eaton Professor of Psychology at Stanford University and a member of the American Association of Arts and Sciences. Her research has revealed why students succeed and how to foster their success, and she is particularly known for her work on how self-theories (or mindsets) affect learning. Her research has been prominently featured in such publications as Time, The New York Times, The New Yorker, and The Washington Post and she has appeared on Today, Good Morning America, 20/20, the BBC, and NPR. Her recent book, Mindset, has been widely acclaimed.
