America?s Children (June 6 - 8)

Sponsored by Casey Family Programs

It’s a simple — almost too simple — truth: Children are the key to America’s future. No wonder, then, that those concerned with families, communities, and society at large so often turn the spotlight on children. Yet access to high-quality education, appropriate health care, proper nutrition, and safe environments varies widely for our nation’s young people, with some growing up in safe, nurturing, and intellectually stimulating environments, while far too many others are taking a more difficult path to adulthood. This track examines a range of issues that young children and adolescents face today and explores various initiatives aimed at helping the youth prepare for a successful future.
