Climate change, the livelihood of our oceans, quality and access of water, and availability of energy — what are the most troubling problems and the most exciting possibilities related to improving our global environment? Sessions in this track will take a closer look at you and the marine environment: What’s on your dinner plate, where did it come from, how did it get there? Economists will address climate change and the economy: Is a dollar spent on reducing emissions now less efficient than a dollar spent in the future? Is there a responsibility to act now rather than wait, despite economic rationalism? Biologists and scientists will speak about the future of water, water efficiency, and water security. Leaders in the field will engage on the political economics of these and other issues, as well as the newest innovations and areas of opportunity.
