Danah Boyd

Danah Boyd

Danah Boyd is a doctoral candidate in the School of Information at the University of California at Berkeley and a fellow at Harvard Law School’s Berkman Center for Internet and Society, where she co-directs the Internet Safety Technical Task Force and works with companies and nonprofits to identify technical solutions for keeping children safe online. Her research focuses on how American youth engage in networked public spaces like MySpace, YouTube, and Facebook, and she is interested in teen self-presentation and socialization with invisible audiences on such sites. Her work is part of a broader MacArthur Foundation grant on digital youth and informal learning.
