Pakistan has been called the most dangerous place in the world, the epicenter of terrorism, and a not yet failing state. Yet there remains key interests that the US and Pakistan have in common. It’s easy to think about the frustrations and dissatisfactions, but when we can and do work together, we achieve a lot that is beneficial to the people of both countries. We’re better off trying to make the US-Pakistan relationship work than to throw up our hands and give up. What’s next for this complicated and critical relationship?
