Shearer has voiced multiple roles on FOX’s “The Simpsons” for more than 20 seasons, roles he reprised for The Simpsons Movie. His weekly radio series “Le Show” is heard in over 90 markets, and Shearer is a regular contributor to The Huffington Post. Shearer’s recent comic novel Not Enough Indians (Justin, Charles & Co, 2006) was a national best-seller. His recent albums Songs of the Bushmen and Songs Pointed and Pointless both received Grammy nominations for Best Comedy Album. Shearer’s film credits include Spinal Tap, The Right Stuff, The Fisher King, Godzilla, The Truman Show, and A Mighty Wind. In 2002, he wrote and directed his first feature film, Teddy Bears’ Picnic. He has won two Cable Ace Awards. Recently, Shearer created “The Silent Echo Chamber,” an art installation featuring political and media personalities caught in the moments before going live. |
